For Immediate Release: Charlotte Soccer Academy Hiring of Ralph Latchana, Director of Coaching Palisades and York County

CSA is pleased to announce the hiring of Ralph Latchana to our full-time staff. Latchana will be the new Director of Coaching for the CSA’s Palisades section and spearhead the launch of the new York County program to begin fall 2021. Coach Latchana joins CSA having spent three years as The South ECNL Director for the Charlotte Independence, formerly Discoveries Soccer Club, where he held numerous roles within their organization in addition to head coaching positions at the ECNL level.

Latchana’s coaching career began with GPS (Global Premier Soccer) as their Southeast Regional Manager overseeing their franchise in York County South Carolina. During his time at GPS and Discoveries, Latchana won USYS state championships in 2016 and 2017 with the 2003 girls and was three-time Regional Champions from 2016-2019 advancing to the final in 2019 with the 2006 boys. Latchana was head coach for the 2002 boys GPS National team where in 2019 he led them in the prestigious Super Cup (formerly Milk Cup) in Northern Ireland.

“I would like to thank Brad and Charlotte Soccer Academy for identifying me as an asset that has the values, drive and skillset to help push their existing and future programs forward.” states Latchana. “Charlotte Soccer Academy is an industry leader not just in the community but nationwide for player development and professionalism. I am thrilled to get started and to get to know the parents, players and staff. My goal and ambition is to make a positive impact in the community and provide programs our families trust and are proud of.”

“The inclusion of Ralph to our staff is a big plus for the players and teams in our Palisades section and the extension of the program more into York County for next year.” states Executive Director, Brad Wylde. “Hiring Ralph has brought yet another great Director/Coach with a tremendous wealth and knowledge from a very extensive background to our already extensive full-time staff. Ralph’s hiring will only help enhance our club as one of the strongest full-service soccer organizations in the country.”

Coach Latchana will officially be starting with CSA on January 15th and will be working directly with teams when practice resumes the week of January 25th.
